My painting “Earth Awaits Spring” was created in late winter when the earth was quietly nestled under quilts of fallen leaves and snow. Ralph Waldo Emerson’s quote makes me think about how spring is new life. Spring has arrived here. Now being surrounded bountifully with not only by yellow daffodils, purple crocuses, and pink hyacinths but also by gorgeous green grass, I can hear Earth laughing with great joy at the goodness of the Lord.
And I rejoice too.
