the good news is Christ’s return is very imminent. In fact, the signs are shouting at us,
“Repent! The King is coming! Look up, for your redemption draws near!”
“ Afterward shall the children of Israel return
and seek the LORD their God and David their king
and shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days. “
And in Jeremiah 30:10 is written:
“Therefore, fear thou not, O My servant Jacob, saith the LORD;
neither be dismayed O Israel:
for, lo, I will save thee from afar,
and thy seed from the land of their captivity;
and Jacob shall return and shall be in rest,
and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.”
Praise the LORD for these coming days!
In Matthew 24, Christ prophesies about the end times, or latter days. He says something significant that might be overlooked. In Matthew 24: 34, Christ said:
“Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass,
till all these things be fulfilled.”
From the beginning of Israel’s return to the Promised Land in May 1948, this generation born in 1948 shall see all the events unfolding for the LORD’s return. Another way to understand this: for those who were born in 1948, Christ’s return will happen in their lifetime. Psalm 90: 10 states that man lives 70 years, and sometimes 80 years. If this is true, and God’s word IS true, then a person born in 1948 would be 65 this year. The time draweth nigh!
If we keep this knowledge in perspective,
how should we live out the rest of our lives here on earth?
