EL

God’s name of EL means “The Strong One, The Great.” (Jeremiah 32: 18)
He is the One who overcomes all evil.
Jesus Christ is EL.

In Matthew 28: 18-20, we are told that all power is given unto Jesus Christ both in heaven and in earth. He is omnipotent, all-powerful.

Insight on just how incredible is Christ’s power occurs in Colossians 2: 15.
“And having spoiled principalities and powers,
Christ made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

How did this happen?

It all starts with the truth of the realization that we all have sinned. God says that sin must be punished. There is no one on earth that is sinless. Jesus Christ, who is God’s Son, became human to help us. II Corinthians 5: 21 says that Christ Jesus took our sins upon Himself for us. Christ was without sin. He took our sins upon Himself, so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Because of His love for us, Christ took our place and was punished for our sins. He took our place, enduring the horrific scourging, beatings, humiliation, and subsequently the crucifixion on the cross. Christ died on the cross that was meant for us! Then an awesome event happened. On the third day, Christ arose from the dead! No grave could hold EL.

Through His death and His resurrection, Jesus showed His mighty power over principalities and powers, over Satan and the demons, and over death and hell. Christ is the Victor. And the best part is that as Victor, Christ brought reconciliation between God and humanity. All we have to do is to accept Christ into our hearts as our Savior. The believer’s union with Christ is the foundation upon which the Christian life must be built.

I John 5: 4-5 states whosoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcomes the world? He that believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

“Thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

(I Corinthians 15:57) This victory enables us to go through trials and tribulations with the strength of EL. “I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me. “

(Philippians 4: 13)

So, Dear Ones, be of good cheer.
The LORD has victory over all powers and principalities.

EL is WITH us and IN us.

We need not be afraid.
