El Elohe Yisrael

God’s name El Elohe Yisrael means “God of Israel.” What a blessed Name it is. The Bible reveals the relationship between God and Israel. Israel was, and still is, the only nation on earth to have a unique relationship with the LORD.

Israel holds a special place in God’s heart. For unto Israel was committed the law of God. The law was given to establish guidelines for them to be in a relationship with Him. Through Israel, the Messiah was to come.

Signs that identifies the Messiah:

1) The Messiah must be of the seed of a woman.

Genesis 3:15

"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed;
it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel."

Jesus Christ fulfilled this, as written in Galatians 4:4-5

 "But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons."

2) The Messiah must be of the seed of Abraham.

Genesis 22:18

"And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed."

Christ Jesus is of the seed of Abraham. Matthew 1, Luke 3

3) The Messiah must be of the seed of Isaac.

Genesis 17:19

"God said, ' Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son, indeed, and thou shalt call his name Isaac,
 and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant
and with his seed after him.' "

Christ Jesus is of the seed of Isaac. Matthew 1, Luke 3

4) The Messiah must be of the seed of Jacob.

Numbers 24:17

"I shall see him, but not now. I shall behold him, but not nigh:
there shall come a Star out of Jacob and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel."

Christ Jesus is of the seed of Jacob. Matthew 1, Luke 3

5) The Messiah must be from the tribe of Judah.

Genesis 49:10

"The Scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet,
until Shiloh come: and unto him shall the gathering of the people be."

Christ Jesus is from the tribe of Judah. Matthew 1, Luke 3

6) The Messiah must come from the house of David.

Isaiah 9:7

"Of the increase of his government and peace, there shall be no end,
upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to order it and to establish it
with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever."

Christ Jesus is from the house of David: Matthew 1, Luke 3

7) The Messiah must be born of a virgin.

Isaiah 7:14

"Therefore, the LORD Himself shall give you a sign;
 Behold, a virgin
shall conceive and bear a son
and shall call his name 'Immanuel.' "

Christ Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary. Luke 1: 27-38

8) The Messiah must be born in Bethlehem.

Micah 5:2

"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah,
yet out of thee shall he come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel,
whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."

Christ Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Luke 2: 4-7

9) The Messiah must be God.

Isaiah 9:6

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulders
and his name shall be called ' Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God,
the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.' "

By His resurrection from the dead, Christ Jesus proved that in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead. Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, John 20

And yet, while Jesus Christ fulfills all these, there is still more.

In the book of Zechariah 12: 9 we read:

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart; All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.”

Who is the one who causes such mourning?

Who is this upon whom they look; the one whom they have pierced?

Jesus Christ, The Messiah.

Jesus Christ was betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes. They condemned Jesus to death and delivered Him to the Gentiles to be mocked, scourged, and crucified.

In John 19: 33-34, it is written about Jesus on the cross: “But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.”

“and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him,
as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born"

 "For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
but we preach Christ crucified,
unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks,
Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.“
I Corinthians 1: 22-24

Daniel 7:14

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.“

Look up, lift up your heads, for our redemption draweth nigh.

Jesus Christ the Messiah is coming!
