Shed Blood of Christ and Communion

by Kathleen Huebener in Inspiration

The shed blood of Christ is the blood of communion as written in I Corinthians 10:16.

“The cup of blessing, which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?
The bread, which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?”

And in I Corinthians 11: 24-25 Jesus Christ said,

“Take eat, this is My body, which is broken for you:
this do in remembrance of Me.”
“This cup is the New Testament in My blood.
This do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

The bread and the wine were outward symbols of our Lord’s death.

In John 6: 35, Jesus said unto them, “I am the bread of life: he that comes to Me shall never hunger; and he that believes on Me shall never thirst.”

Verse 51, “I am the living bread, which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this beard, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

Verse 53 – 58, Then Jesus said unto then, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink His blood, ye have no life in you.

Whoso eats My flesh and drinks My blood hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

For My flesh is meat indeed and My blood is drink indeed. He that eats My flesh and drinks My blood dwells in Me and I in him.

”As the living Father hath sent Me, and I live by the Father; so he that eats Me, even he shall live by Me.”

“This is that bread, which came down from heaven” not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead; he that eats of this bread shall live forever. “

Verse 63: “It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing:

the words I speak unto you, they are spirit,

and they are life.”

Praise GOD for our Christ, the Living Word!
And He is coming SOON!
Look up, for our redemption is drawing nigh!
