“Discipline is the refining fire by which talent becomes ability.”

Discipline: we hear much about it, but what exactly is discipline? The Thorndike Barnhart Dictionary defines “discipline” as the training of the mind or character. The process of discipline is active and alive, as it moves onward and upward through obedience, experience, and adversity.  The true artist understands that discipline is essential in creating art. No need to remind any artist of inside and outside pressures that attempt to thwart any progress on an art piece. It takes true discipline to overcome.
