Description of Henry

Henry… our maple tree in front of our house. My children believed he was the offspring of the old mammoth tree at the Indian Creek Nature Center. Henry had a personality. He loved water and even went so far to put his roots up into my barrel flower pots, into our water pipes, and basically everywhere. Under his branches was a cool respite from the heat and we often sought solace there. Early one morning as sunlight hit his trunk, I caught a glimpse of the spirit of Henry, the living tree. I just had to capture his essence in watercolor. Artwork 2000
