Jesus Christ’s Return is Very Soon! Second Sign

For those of us who await the Lord Jesus Christ, amidst all the evil that surrounds us,
the good news is Christ’s return is very imminent. In fact, the signs are shouting at us,
“Repent! The King is coming! Look up, for your redemption draws near!”

The Second Sign is the obvious acceleration of lawlessness.

Lawlessness is sadly becoming the norm in today’s world. I remember a world where it was safe to keep one’s door unlocked at all times, safe to let children play outside without adult supervision even at night, and safe to walk in one’s city without danger.
Nowadays even locked doors will not prevent robbery or assault.
Children are being abducted in broad daylight. And with the drive-by shootings increasing,
one is not even safe at home under lock and key.

What has happened to this world? Why is this lawlessness happening? There is a scripture that describes this situation perfectly. It describes the cause of this lawlessness.
Isaiah 24: 5-6 says:

The earth is defiled under the inhabitants thereof,

because they have transgressed the laws,

changed the ordinances,

broken the everlasting covenant,

therefore a curse hath devoured the earth

and all they that dwell therein are desolate.”

Desolate without God’s laws, ordinances, and everlasting covenant means just that. God’s law, the Ten Commandments, has been taken out of the people’s lives, out of the schools, and out of the government buildings and public offices. Lawlessness is the result. The everlasting covenant refers to the covenant made between God and man. Man’s portion of the covenant is to follow God’s law commandments and His ways.
Alas, man has broken God’s everlasting covenant.

Jesus Christ spoke in Matthew 24: 12 about the lawlessness in the latter days:

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax (grow) cold.”

The good news is that God’s love still exists, even in these times. His hand is still outstretched to us all, just like the hand of the Prodigal Son’s father was outstretched to his wayward son. But time is running out. The signs point to Jesus Christ’s imminent return. If you have not already accepted Christ into your heart, do it now. Time IS running out.

If we keep this knowledge in perspective,

how should we live out the rest of our lives here on earth?
