The Holy Spirit in these Latter Days

To Christians, the Holy Spirit is our Teacher and Comforter, who teaches us all things and reminds us of God’s Holy Word. ¹ The Holy Spirit flows like a river of living water within every Christian. ² Because the Holy Spirit indwells Christians, He accomplishes much of His work on earth through Christians. ³ This is why Christ Jesus called Christians “ the salt of the earth, the city on a hill, the light of the world.” ⁴

 

Relating to the world:

• The Holy Spirit first convicts the world of sin, because they don’t believe on Jesus Christ, whom God the Father has sent.⁵
• Secondly, the Holy Spirit convicts the world of having no righteousness. For the world has rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ through which the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith. ⁶ Without Christ, all our righteousness is as filthy rags. ⁷  We simply cannot be righteous without Christ.
• Thirdly, the Holy Spirit convicts the world of judgment and justice. God is Judge.⁸       By rejecting Christ Jesus as Lord, the world worships the creature more than the Creator. ⁹

Then follows the seven years of the Great Tribulation, which are described in the book of the Revelation. People, who come to accept Christ as their Savior during these horrific years, will be hunted down and slain.
