Farm, Hiawatha, Iowa

Amidst the turmoil of unsettling times, a ray of hope, a glimpse of beauty stirs the soul of man. I see the beauty of Iowa. True we have no mountains or oceans here; however, we Iowans have a land blest with its own glorious sights. Thoreau said it best, “Why should I explore the world when there is so much to explore between that road and my own doorstop.”

With that intent, I am determined to share the beauty of Iowa. Like my Aunt Ronnie always says, “Bloom where you are planted.”

“Farm, Hiawatha, Iowa” is created from a friend’s farm in Hiawatha. I found a soothing sense of peace here. From a vantage point of the cool barn courtyard, one can see the open fields. The wooden steps beckon one to check out the fields. This is where one is free to commune directly with the living God and rejoice in what He has created.
